Rich, tender and incredibly versatile, our organic eggplant has a mild flavour and soft, silky texture when cooked. Also known as aubergine, it readily absorbs herbs, spices and sauces, making it a favourite in cuisines around the world.

Perfect for curries, stir-fries, roasting, grilling, pasta dishes and Mediterranean recipes, fresh eggplant can also be baked into dishes such as moussaka or blended into smoky dips.

Store your organic eggplant in a cool, dry place if you plan to use it within a few days. Eggplant is sensitive to cold, so for maximum quality, avoid exposing it to very low temperatures for extended periods.


For longer storage, keep fresh eggplant in the refrigerator crisper drawer, ideally loosely wrapped or inside a perforated produce bag. When stored well, fresh organic eggplant can keep for around 1–2 weeks, and sometimes longer depending on how fresh it was when harvested.


For long-term storage, eggplant can be sliced, blanched or roasted and frozen for several months. It can also be pickled or preserved, making it excellent for curries, Mediterranean dishes, roasting and stir-fries.
