Store your organic green kiwifruit at room temperature if it still needs to ripen. To speed up ripening, place your fresh kiwifruit in a paper bag with an apple or banana, which naturally produces ethylene gas.
Once ripe, move your green kiwifruit to the refrigerator to significantly extend its storage life. When properly refrigerated, fresh kiwifruit can keep for around 3–6 weeks, while firm, unripe kiwifruit can sometimes last 2 months or longer under ideal cold-storage conditions.
