Cabbage - Red

Store your organic red cabbage whole and unwashed in the refrigerator crisper drawer. Keep it in a reusable or perforated produce bag to maintain humidity and help prevent the outer leaves from drying out.

When properly refrigerated, a whole fresh red cabbage can keep for 1–2 months or longer under ideal conditions. Red cabbage is an excellent long-lasting organic vegetable, and you can simply remove any wilted outer leaves while the cabbage underneath remains fresh and crisp.

Once cut, wrap the exposed section tightly and refrigerate. For longer-term storage, organic red cabbage can be fermented, pickled, or blanched and frozen for several months.
