Grown By Nature

Free from synthetics.

Its no secret that agriculture is no longer what it used to be...

Instead of a relationship with nature, todays conventional farming is accomplished through the use of synthetic chemicals.

Pesticides to kill 'pests', insecticides to kill 'insects', herbicides to kill plants', even the fertilisers are mostly synthetic...

From seed to harvest, chemicals are used. The most common active ingredient used across the whole spectrum of herbicides is chemically known as 'glyphosate'.

Glyphosate is a compound belonging to the organophosphate family, developed as a chemical warfare agent during world war II...

When the war ended, organophosphates were reformulated and repackaged as herbicides for the agriculture industry.

Today, organophosphates such as glyphosate, are used in conventional agriculture world wide.

The true effect of this is only just begining to uncover...

Did you know that our soil holds the second largest amount of carbon, second only to our ocean!

Our soil keeps the cycle of nature in balance, it is the foundation that supports all life.

When carbon dioxide is released into our athmosphere, it is 'breathed' in through plant life, it then travels through their root systems and is stored for long periods of time within our soil!

In a healthy eco-system the soil keeps the carbon cycle in balance, storing it over long periods of time and releasing it slowly as need be. When the soil is damaged, erosion begins to take place and all the stored carbon is released at once.

This leads to an unbalanced eco-system that can no longer support life.

*This is known as 'desertification', a phenomona that is occuring world wide...

Organic agriculture aims to work with nature and avoids the use of synthetic inputs.

Organic systems produce fruits and vegetables far less contaminated by toxic compunds and also leave the soil uncontaminated. Functioning as it should,

in its natural state.

Better for the Human,
Better for the Planet.

...In harmony with nature

How is organic food the solution?

It's certainly not the only solution, but agriculture is one of the biggest parts!

We live in an eco-system that has been functioning naturally for millenea, long long before man. An eco-system that has flourished through the natural system of life..

A system of recycling, death and decay, brings life and growth.

A recycling of natural elements.

Conventional agriculture interferres with this system.

It introduces synthetic compounds that are completely foreign to the soil. These synthetic compunds are unable to be recycled through the natural system.

When enough of these compounds enter an eco system the cycle becomes so 'congested', and eventually it breaks.

All surrounding life dies, the soil begins to erode, and massive amounts of carbon is released.

When organic agriculture is done with intent, it works in harmony with the natural cycle.

No synthetic inputs are used and the natural system is left undisturbed, operating as it has for milenea.

In this system the surrounding environment is left to flourish, the soil remains alive and the carbon cycle is balanced.

Ensuring a good life for many generations to come.

The way we choose to treat our soil,
is the way we choose to treat ourselves,
the eco-system is all connected...
